Why treasures matter
Hidden treasures provide coins, repair tools, keys, and occasional rare cards. They are the most reliable way to boost early income and unlock gated areas. Each zone has at least one treasure container.
Starter Dump: Rusty Lockbox
Half-buried in the south-west trash mound. Requires no key. Contains starter coins and a possible common card. This is the first treasure most players open.
North Junkyard: Metal Toolbox
Located near the north fence in the scrap pile. Reportedly requires the Junkyard Key. Contains repair tools and a rare card chance. Best farmed after noon according to community reports.
Riverbank Dump: Sunken Crate & Hidden Cache
The Sunken Crate sits in shallow water near the broken bridge and holds water-damaged cards plus coins. Behind the broken fridge barrier is the Hidden Cache, which needs a Cache Key and can hold high-value trade items and rare Blue cards.
Overgrown Junkyard: Mossy Locket
Tangled in vines on the vine-covered car wreck in the south corner. Reportedly spawns more often during rain. Contains a collectible locket and coins.
Construction Site: Hazard Toolbox
A yellow-striped toolbox on the high scaffolding. Requires a Pry Bar or lockpick to open. Contains a pry bar and a chance at rare Yellow cards.
Treasure hunting checklist
1. Check every new zone for lockboxes and toolboxes. 2. Carry the right key or tool before heading out. 3. Repair water-damaged cards from river treasures. 4. Mark found treasures in the Tracker to avoid wasted trips.
