Evidence-backed guide
KOTAMON Card Guide: Repair, Keep, or Swap?
The official description states that cards can be damaged, torn, mended, and swapped and that condition affects value. It does not publish repair formulas, so compare values shown by your build.
Read the complete card state
Capture name, set color, visible rarity if any, condition, and displayed value. Do not reduce the decision to price alone when the card may fill a set.
Keep a reference copy
For a new card, keep the best observed copy until the collection slot and reward behavior are clear. A premature swap can trade away information as well as value.
Measure repair value
Compare the displayed pre-repair value, stated repair cost, and post-repair value if previewed. If the game does not preview the result, test with a low-stakes duplicate first.
Swap duplicates deliberately
Define the goal before opening a swap interface: improve condition, fill a missing set slot, or convert excess copies. Stop if the terms are not visible.
Avoid fake market language
KOTAMON prices are in-game values, not verified real-money market quotations. This site does not sell cards or claim a live external marketplace.
Log patch-sensitive values
Record build and date beside any price or repair result. Values from the demo or an older build should not be presented as current full-game facts.
