What the demo includes
The KOTAMON demo covers the opening loop: trash sorting, finding early Red and Green cards, repairing damaged cards, and a taste of set collection. It is a good way to test performance and whether the cozy scavenger gameplay appeals to you.
What the full game adds
The full release adds the remaining color sets, the Trading Post, the foil card system, unopened cereal boxes, advanced repair tools, hidden treasure containers in all zones, and the long-term $1,000,000 economy goal.
Progress carryover
Demo save progress typically does not carry over to the full game for most Steam titles. Plan to restart if you buy the full version.
Is the full game worth it?
If you enjoyed the demo loop for more than an hour, the full game is worth it. The core value is the collection completion chase: dozens of cards, foil variants, set rewards, and achievements. If the scavenging loop felt repetitive quickly, the full game will not change the core mechanic.
Editions and soundtrack
The Supporter Pack DLC and Soundtrack are also available on Steam. They are cosmetic/audio extras and do not affect card collection. Buy them only if you want to support the developer or enjoy the soundtrack.
